Short version: you can search and read everything without giving us any personal information. We never sell personal information.
You can use the site without telling us who you are
Searching for jobs, reading guides and saving jobs never requires an account, an email address or a name.
What we collect, and why
- Job alerts. If you create a job alert, we store your email address, what you're looking for, and how often you want emails. We use it only to send those alerts. Every alert email has a link to change or stop it.
- Contact form. If you contact us, we keep your message and, if you give them, your name and email so we can reply.
- Job reports. If you report a job, we store the reason and any details you type. To count how many different people reported a job, we store a scrambled code made from your internet address that changes every day. We can't turn it back into your address.
- Anonymous usage counts. To improve the site, we count things like searches, job views, "Apply" clicks and saved jobs. These records contain the page and the action, never your name, email, internet address or a tracking ID. Searches are stored as the words typed, without anything that identifies you, so please don't type personal information into the search box.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal information. Ever.
- We don't use advertising trackers or cross-site tracking.
- We don't use cookies for job seekers. (Site administrators use one login cookie.)
- We don't share your email with employers.
Saved jobs and text size
Saved jobs and your text-size choice are kept in your own browser's storage on your device. They are not sent to us except to look up the saved jobs' current details.
Who helps us run the site
We use service providers to host the website, store data and send email. They process data only on our behalf to provide those services.
Leaving a job site
When you press "Apply", you go to the employer's or the original job site. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Deleting your information
To stop alerts, use the link in any alert email. To delete your alert email address or any message you've sent us, contact us and choose Privacy. We'll delete it and confirm.
Children
This site is for adults looking for work and isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date below. Significant changes will be noted at the top of this page.
