You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the ELECTRONICS SHOP, NUCLEAR OR NON-NUCLEAR SECTION, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY.
Duties
- You will supervise the repair, removal, field changes, modifications, reinstallation, and checkout of systems and equipment assigned to Nuclear or Non-Nuclear Sections onboard submarines or surface crafts.
- You will assign tasks, tools, equipment and materials to workers.
- You will interpret plans and instructions for the work group.
- You will keep all work operations under close observation and control.
- You will resolve work problems and take action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages, and other delays, requesting special permission, decisions, or assistance from higher levels of authority.
- You will plan the sequence of tasks, layouts, work assignments and any special work methods to be utilized.
